As 2025 comes to a close, it’s time for my annual tradition… the end-of-year recap! A chance to pause, reflect, and ask myself how on earth we’re here again already?!

This year has most definitely been a mixed bag. It’s been my toughest year yet in terms of my health, but also the year that reminded me just how much love, support, and joy I have in my life.
If you’ve been following me for a while, you’ll know that I love capturing memories via a one-second video every day (mostly!). So in true tradition, check out my 2025 video below:
How cool was that?!
Videos aside, I also wanted to take a closer look at some of my favourite highlights from the past 12 months…
Becoming an Uncle
Whilst this chapter is still very new, 2025 will forever be remembered as the year baby Max joined us for Christmas.

Becoming an uncle certainly wasn’t on my bingo card this year, but I’m so proud of my sister and I’m excited for this new chapter of adventures for our family. So long as Max keeps away from my LEGO, I’m sure we will be best pals!
I also had great fun this year planning my sister’s baby shower. Maybe there’s a future career in events? haha
LEGO
Talking of the building blocks, I couldn’t not mention my new-found obsession this year. I will be sharing a separate blog post on this over the coming weeks, but 2025 certainly found me a new hobby. A very expensive one at that…
I even went to a Brick Festival this year! Proper nerd status activated.

Calvert Devon
I had just the one holiday/trip this year, which was to The Calvert Devon centre in Exmoor.
This was quite a bold move for me, as I’d signed up to the weekend retreat without really knowing many people going. Thanks to SMA UK, I was able to connect with some really great people, and do some daredevil stunts along the way!
Not only was this my birthday weekend, but it was also a real opportunity to challenge myself both physically & socially – and for that I am really proud.
Work
Professionally speaking, 2025 has been a great year!
My work with CHAOS Radio has continued to grow and I’m so proud of the platform we’ve created. The audience interaction this year has been fantastic and I love presenting the daytime show every Tuesday & Thursday.
Heyyy, I even received a few postal treats from our listeners this year which was a lovely surprise!

In terms of guests & interviews, 2025 has been my most successful year yet – making new connections, exploring deeper conversations & racking up thousands of views across social media.
Every single guest has been an honour and I’m so excited to see where 2026 takes us! Just to recap, here are some of the most recognisable faces I’ve spoken with this year:

As a massive TV fan, I loved chatting with Gladiators Stars’ Fury & Dynamite, as well as Dancing on Ice professionals Matt Evers & Frankie Seaman. I also had great laughs with Gogglebox legends Steph & Dom, and Traitors icons Diane & Lisa – who I even met up with in person!

But my biggest fangirl moment this year was probably with Lauren Ash – aka Dina from Superstore. She was so lovely!
Let’s not forget music legends Chesney Hawkes & Nathan Sykes, as well as millionaire Simon Squibb and Teletubby Nikky Smedley!
Freelancing
In terms of freelancing, I’ve also expanded my work with some of my favourite organisations this year – such as Access Cornwall, AccessAble & GM Coachwork.
Becoming the face (or side profile!) of the The Accessible Guide to Cornwall was certainly a career highlight for me.

Being able to stroll into some of my favourite pubs or supermarkets and pick up a booklet with my face on is pretty iconic if I say so myself!
My freelance work also led to a modelling opportunity this year for an inclusive clothing brand, which was very exciting!

There have also been a few more TV appearances which deserve a special mention. In particular, my episode of Blankety Blank which finally aired on the BBC this June.

Theatre Trips
Socially, my calendar has been full of amazing theatre trips this year. As I get older, I realise I love the simpler things in life… such as cosy indoor theatres, over crowded music festivals.
I’ve also discovered that I love a matinee show! I truly am an old man now, and I have no shame about it.

Some of my favourite shows from this year include: Hamilton, Death on the Nile, The Shawshank Redemption, Kinky Boots & SIX.
Final Thoughts
Despite all the highlights from the events above, my biggest fulfilment this year is most definitely the people around me.
Sometimes social media can be incredibly misleading. So whilst it’s important to celebrate the wins from this year, it’s also important to be realistic and not paint a perfect picture – because quite frankly, it doesn’t exist.

As I said at the start of this post, my health has been quite a battle this year – what with various ailments, anxieties and muscle deterioration. But it’s those people around me that really kept me going.
My family who support me on a daily basis, my friends who check-in with voice notes or pop around for a takeaway, my work colleagues who keep me entertained in the office, and my dog who never fails to cheer me up.

Without all of you, 2025 would never have had so many highlights. So for that, I am grateful.
Soppiness aside, I wish you all a happy New Year and look forward to seeing what the 2026 recap brings!
