A Trip Down Memory Lane

They say that a photograph is the pause button of life – a moment that captures a memory for you to look back on in years to come.

Well my friends, today’s the day that I well and truly take a trip down memory lane.

I read a quote recently that said something along the lines of: “When life gets blurry, all you need to do is adjust your focus”

So that’s exactly what I’m going to do. I don’t know about you, but I LOVE looking back through old photographs.

If Corona has given us anything positive – it’s simply time and appreciation.

Without getting too deep, I think it’s important to look back on moments in your life and reflect, in order to see how far you’ve come.

I also thought it would just be really fun to recreate some 90’s magic.

Enjoy!

The original photo here was taken on the 21st July 1994 – my 1st birthday.

Recreating this image was a LOT of effort, but so much fun!

I bet you never thought you’d see me sat on the floor in my boxers, let alone wearing my mums dress… you’re welcome. For a “behind the scenes” shot to see how the hell I got onto the floor, check out my Instagram page.

Some say Bond, some say snooker player… but why did nobody suggest Mr Grey? haha.

I usually hate getting ‘dressed up’, but this is one of those classic photos I had to recreate.

I guess you could say I’ve always had a thing for music – I wonder what I was listening to?! You can just see the pure concentration on my face, I love it!

I rarely sit on my sofa anymore either, so this was quite an interesting shot for me to get.

This picture makes me smile because of the story behind it.

Before this photo was taken, I had fallen over outside and grazed my knee. This was a common occurrence in my childhood, before I became a full-time wheelchair user.

Whilst in tears I continued to poke the knee, making the situation 10x worse – much to my parents amusement – classic Ross.

I actually quite like this look, as it’s definitely something I would still wear to this day.

And yes, I’ll finally admit it… I was a little ginge!

I had so much fun creating this post, so I really hope you guys enjoyed it too. Let me know if you think I should try and recreate more throwback photos.

I’d also love to see you get involved and give it a go yourself!

Speak soon,

Ross x
