Comfort is Key

I’ve been feeling a little under the weather recently and upon my death bed (yep, we all know how dramatic I am by now) I realised how often we take things for granted.

I mean, life was so much better without a runny nose.

One thing that I think we all take for granted is our comfort.

As someone who has to sit in the same position for 90% of their day, this is something that is really important to me.

Always keen for a little life hack, I am super excited to team up with the guys from CareCo Mobility for today’s post.

CareCo describe themselves as the “discount mobility experts” who pride themselves on offering quality products to improve your everyday life.

With this in mind, I have recently been reviewing some of their items, which I am pleased to share below. (Links attached to the headings)

Yep, you read that right…

All jokes aside, this portable cushion is actually pretty cool. It’s special wedge shape is designed to help relieve any pressure or aches in your lower back.

Not only is it extremely lightweight, it promotes the proper sitting position and is machine washable – boom!

With support from this cushion, I actually managed to sit on my own sofa for the first time in 4 years! No complaints in the comfort department.

For me this felt very strange, purely because it’s something I never do. Honestly don’t know how you muggles can live like this.

Whether you have a disability or not, I think we all need at least one of these in our lives. I have been using my reacher (or grabber as I like to call them) for many many years now.

In terms of ease and comfort, I would be lost without these sticks. Why struggle reaching for something when you can literally have an extra arm?!

I have several dotted around the house at home, as well as a few hidden away at work.

If you’re anything like me then you try and be as independent as possible. I personally hate asking for help unless it’s completely necessary.

Similar to the cushion above, these sticks are extremely lightweight and portable. This design in particular stands out to me, as it can be purchased in variable sizes and can also folded in half to make it even more compact.

Personal highlight: This stick enables me to reach all the naughty food stashed in my top cupboards.

Described as a “flexible fabric” to keep items firmly in place, this is another product that can make simple tasks so much easier.

One of the main perks of this item is that it comes in a large roll, so it can be adapted and cut to specific needs / shapes.

Living independently, I often eat my evening meal on a lap tray in front of the TV. I personally use this fabric to provide a non-slip surface under my plate.

Not only is it eco friendly, it gives a sense of stability and can be easily washed.

Other suggestions for use can include: bedside tables, office drawers and the dashboard of your car.

These are just three of the items I have selected to share with you today. As a full-time electric wheelchair user myself, I have found each of these products effective in making life that little bit more comfortable.

Be sure to check out the CareCo website for more products and accessories fitted around your lifestyle.

Items vary from daily living aids, to electric powerchairs and parking permit holders.

And we all know how much I love a new gadget!!
