If there’s one thing that gets me down in life, it’s the reality of being restricted by a battery.
If I could walk, I imagine I’d be a bit like the Duracell bunny. I’m always “on the go” and I love making social plans.
However, this does come with it’s down side.

Living life on a set of wheels not only means I have a huge electricity bill every month (charging equipment on a daily basis doesn’t come cheap!), but I also have the constant worry as to whether my wheelchair battery will last the full day.
God forbid I go to work AND have plans of an evening!
In the words of a classic Flo Rida song:
“Next thing you know, Shawty got low low low low low low low”
Recently, my batteries haven’t been holding charge and it’s really been stressing me out. It’s safe to say i’m definietly on first-name-terms with the team at wheelchair services.
I have gone through so many sets of batteries recently, I honestly don’t know what to do next.

Having a busy lifestyle is great, but it’s a horrible feeling having to rely on ‘technology’ to get around.
It’s bad enough when your phone battery dies and you start to feel lost… let alone when your wheels are literally your legs.
I can’t wait for the day that someone invents an infinity battery, or some kind of portable wheelchair charger. Dragons den, hit me up!
On a lighter note, this week marks the two year anniversary since I became a dog-dad!
It’s a scary thought to think how fast these past two years have gone. Life has certainly changed, but definitely for the better!

I’m ready for the “terrible two’s” – bring it on! My little man is growing up #PROUD
Looking through ‘baby photos’ is definitely one of my favourite things to do …. just LOOK AT THAT FACE!!
