Hello, again.

Well well well… it’s been a while hasn’t it?

Ross sat in his wheelchair, wearing a headpiece microphone, smart black shirt and colourful bunting in the background.

I’m sorry to say that this probably won’t be a super-quick scroll. However, if this post gets too boring there is a high chance I may take my kit off… so do stick around!

Anyway, the main reason why I’m here today is to reintroduce myself to anybody who may be new around here. Nowadays most people know me as a radio presenter, but my blogging roots are definitely still there!

Every now and again I receive messages from people asking for disability advice, or thanking me for awareness posts that I’ve written in the past. It happened again recently and if I’m honest, it really touched my heart and reminded me why I started this platform in the first place.

Jooooookes! In all seriousness, I do love the idea of helping people, challenging stereotypes and generally sharing my thoughts.

So with that in mind, I thought it’s time for a little reintroduction, with some random “fun facts” about myself:

  • My name is Ross Christopher Lannon.
  • I’m 31 years old.
  • I live in Cornwall.
  • I have a cock(apoo) called Ralph – you didn’t really think I’d take my kit off did you?

  • I hate the cold.
  • My hobbies include: wrapping up in a blanket and not leaving the house.
  • I’m a full-time wheelchair user, with a condition called Spinal Muscular Atrophy – Type 3.
  • My favourite TV series is Gavin & Stacey.
  • My favourite meal is a roast dinner. Closely followed by a lasagne or a burger.

  • I drive an adapted vehicle with hand controls.
  • I hate being late for anything.
  • I love trashy TV such as Big Brother, Love Island & The Traitors.
  • I once appeared on ITV’s Tipping Point.
  • My dream is to one day be a mainstream TV presenter.
  • I love listening to sad, acoustic music – with my favourite artist at the moment being Alex Warren.
  • I love going to live gigs, musicals or comedy nights.

  • I enjoy reading my horoscope (I’m a Cancer!)
  • I can be a bit of a clean-freak / germaphobe.
  • I don’t drink, I don’t smoke and I don’t have any tattoos. I’m basically a nun.
  • Ironically, my favourite film is Sister Act.

So there’s a little bit about me! I think I’m an alright chap to be fair.

I hope you enjoyed this post. Let’s not call it a big comeback… because there’s a high chance I won’t reappear again for another 6 months, but let’s see how it goes!

Cheeeeers!
