I am a strong believer in the motto "everything happens for a reason" - and the last few weeks have been a bit of a whirlwind.
I recently ventured to Plymouth with the aim of filming a video blog for AccessAble (a company that I work for in order to promote accessibility guides for disabled people)
My journey didn't quite get off to the best of starts, as I was first refused entry over the Tamar Bridge, because my toll card had unknowingly run out of funds.
Not long after that, I then arrived at what I thought was my sisters house... but it turns out I had entered the wrong postcode and was at her old address.
Classic Ross.
Once all the driving was done, we headed for lunch at The Waterfront restaurant. Now this is where things get exciting!
Whilst sat outside, enjoying the sun, I noticed several camera crews setting up beside us. At first I thought, hell, I'm being stitched up for something here.
I then asked one of the guys what they were filming and it turns out today's restaurant was the chosen location for 'Long Lost Family' - hosted of course by Davina McCall.
We had our lunch (which was delish by the way!) and then as we were leaving - BOOM, there she was.
Me being me, I went straight over and parked up beside her. We sat in the sun for a good 10 minutes or so and were chatting all things Cornwall.
She told us a bit of background on the episode they were filming and we also managed to get a cheeky picture. It was really nice how she also showed interest in what we were doing - asking questions about my blog etc.
The whole day after that was a real buzz. We later headed to the arcades and did some more filming for my AccessAble vlog:
I hope you guys enjoyed this video. I never thought I'd have the confidence to film in public, but I'm really enjoying this new venture.
