Chapter 27 - The Birthday Blog

In the words of Anne-Marie...

"It's my birthday!

I'ma do what I like,

I'ma eat what I like,

I'ma kiss who I like"

Except maybe that last part, because ya know... Corona.

For obvious reasons, 2020 is a year that none of us will ever forget. Last week marked my 27th birthday - so in true blogger style, I had to document it!

Firstly, I'd just like to say a massive thank you to everyone who made my day so special. From sending birthday wishes online, to posting cards, gifts and socially distanced visits - it was so nice to have a day that felt relatively "normal".

I'm also getting closer to 30 now, which is a scary thought!

My day started off with cake (obvs). Can we all just take a moment to appreciate this epic masterpiece!

After spending the morning with family, I then met my friend at the park for a socially distanced picnic. The weather was LUSH! (and by that I mean uncomfortably hot & sweaty on my recently scalped head)

I also haven't had a picnic in years, so it was just really nice to get out and do something different.

After spending a couple of hours in the sun, I then came home and sat outside some more... you can see where this is going.

In the evening we had a family BBQ (with more cake and quizzes) courtesy of my sister.

There was also a confetti cannon... which I knew was coming, but it still scared the life out of me.

Thank you again to everyone who made it such a memorable day.

I am now fully sunburnt and have cake running through my veins, happy days!!

Speak soon,

Ross x
