Despite the winter weather, I LOVE the Christmas season. Everyone just seems so much happier, right?
Lots of food, family and festivities - it doesn't get much better than that... (notice how food came first, haha)
I'm a giver. I love buying gifts for people and spreading a bit of joy. So this year I have decided to take part it another shoebox appeal.
However, if 2020 has taught me anything it's that I much prefer dogs to humans...
So for my shoebox this year, I have chosen to support the Last Chance Hotel - a Cornish charity who work hard to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome neglected animals.
I have put together two doggy shoeboxes in the hope of cheering up some furry friends this Christmas. As per the poster below, it is important to note that you can also donate specific shoebox gifts to cats, wildlife and other smaller animals such as rabbits & guinea pigs.
My family have always been massive animal lovers and we have spoilt our pets beyond belief (if you know, you know!) - so it only felt right to share the love this year.
Here is a close up shot showing the contents of my boxes. I am only sharing the details of these in the hope of encouraging others, as it can be so easy and affordable to get involved.
My Ralphy has no idea how lucky he is! I have also included an image below showing all the local drop-off points for Cornish shoeboxes. Alternatively, you can also post them directly to the Last Chance Hotel HQ address:
