TV Casting!

It’s no secret that I want to work in the media one day, but believe it or not, I don’t always take every opportunity that comes my way.

In the past few months, I have actually turned down two TV appearances, because I didn’t feel they were right for me.

More than ever before, I know what I want and I am determined to make those dreams a reality.

I have worked hard on my blog over this past year, and I am excited for whatever opportunities are thrown at me in the future.

I recently attended a Casting Open Day for a new ITV drama, seeking “supporting artistes”.

I basically auditioned to be one of those random blokes in the background #WINNING

I saw an advert for this online, so I thought “why not?!” – I love a good challenge, and i’ll do anything for a cheap laugh (that also pays quite well!)

I seem to have adopted this weird motto in life, where I don’t even care if things go tits up anymore… as it would always make a good story for my blog.

You’re welcome.

As much as I love binge watching programmes from the comfort of my living room, one day, I would love to make it onto the other side of the screen. Let’s just forget about my brief appearance on Letterbox, shall we?

I never thought “acting” would be something I wrote about on my blog, but hey, who knows!

I don’t want to get too excited as there were HUNDREDS of applicants there on the day. I don’t know exactly how many people they are looking for, but at least my wheels helped me to stand out for a good reason for once.

I even skipped the queue at one point – it’s got to have it’s perks sometimes guys!

Even if this casting opportunity comes to nothing, it’s another experience in my locker, and a day out I will never forget… (probably because of the parking nightmares, but that’s a whole other story!)

I really want this job, so please keep your fingers crossed for me! And hopefully I will make a brief cameo on your screens soon!

P.S. If you are a casting agent and you’re reading this, please hire me.

I tell shit jokes and can easily bring pasties on set, what more do you want?
